Around the Mountain Relay

6th and 7th November 2020. Darryl, Bev & Brendan Back have confirmed they will be the major sponsors again in 2020 and we are once again truly grateful for all their amazing support.

Update: When we opened the website for entries we were at Covid19 Level 1 and since then we have moved to Covid19 Level 2. We still want to stage the event and have put in place some extra processes around health & safety in line with Government recommendations. As long as we are back in Level 1 the event will go ahead, if we are at Level 2 and cannot hold the event, we will refund the entry money less a small admin fee of $20.00 per team or $15.00 per solo entry.

The Taranaki Steelformers Around The Mountain Relay is one of New Zealand’s premier annual running events, regularly attracting over 2000 participants.

The event comprises of teams between 10 and 18 members completing the 150km lap around Mt Taranaki / Egmont. There are 21 legs between 5 and 11km, it is a fun event open to runners and walkers. There is no age limit for participation but participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

The event will start from the TSB Stadium in Mason Drive New Plymouth on Friday night and will culminate with a prizegiving on Saturday 7 November at 6.30pm.
